Dr. Evan Allen is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who is passionate about the intersection of physical and mental well-being. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, as the oldest of four siblings, which deeply influenced his understanding of how social support, interaction, and community impact a person’s self-perception and ability to manage life’s challenges.

Dr. Allen began his undergraduate studies at Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio, before transferring to Montreat College in North Carolina, where he graduated as Valedictorian and completed his premedical studies. He then attended Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Allen completed his residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. His first year was spent in the transitional year program, followed by three years of specialized psychiatry training. Upon completion, he became board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Initially drawn to the field of medicine due to a strong interest in the sciences, Dr. Allen found his passion for psychiatry after recognizing the profound impact that mental health has on an individual’s quality of life, particularly in the context of severe mental illness. He believes deeply in the connection between physical health and mental well-being, understanding how one can influence the other. This holistic approach guides his work, where he aims to support clients in their mental health journey while considering the broader scope of their overall health.

Honest, well-intentioned, and supportive, Dr. Allen’s philosophy centers on helping clients achieve improvements in their mental health while fostering trust and collaboration. He derives immense satisfaction from seeing the positive impacts on his patients' lives, which continues to inspire him in his work. His practice is rooted in understanding each person’s unique challenges and supporting their journey towards greater mental and emotional health.

When not working, Dr. Allen remains active through regular physical exercise, hiking, and other movement-related activities, which he considers vital to maintaining both physical and mental well-being.
