Gabriella Angulo, NP, is a Double Board-Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a profound dedication to holistic patient care. A U.S. Army veteran, Gabriella’s career has been shaped by her resilience, compassion, and drive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Gabriella’s educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from Florida International University in Miami. She further specialized in mental health by completing a PMHNP Doctoral Certificate from Liberty University, complementing her ARNP First Assistant certification from Southwest Florida College.
Gabriella’s path to mental health care began during her time in the Army, where she served as a trained nurse in trauma settings. She witnessed firsthand how psychological challenges often compounded the impact of physical injuries, inspiring her to explore ways to provide more holistic healing. Her military service instilled resilience and discipline, qualities that guided her transition to a civilian career focused on addressing the psychological scars of trauma.
When injuries sustained during her service necessitated a shift from physically demanding roles, Gabriella embraced the opportunity to pursue her passion for mental health. Becoming a PMHNP allowed her to focus more intentionally on the emotional and psychological well-being of her patients, empowering them to heal, recover, and thrive.
Gabriella’s treatment philosophy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a trauma-informed approach. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and evidence-based practices to create individualized treatment plans that address each client’s unique circumstances and needs. Recognizing the importance of holistic care, she incorporates strategies to foster resilience and long-term well-being while ensuring that clients feel safe, respected, and understood.
Above all, Gabriella is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with her clients. She strives to meet individuals where they are, helping them navigate life’s challenges and achieve meaningful progress in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. For Gabriella, the therapeutic alliance is not just a professional endeavor—it is a profound journey of growth, healing, and shared humanity.
Beyond her professional achievements, Gabriella is deeply family-oriented. She treasures time spent traveling with her husband and three boys, exploring diverse cultures, and fostering a sense of connection and understanding. She also enjoys gathering with her large extended family and friends, sharing meals, wine, books, and movies that bring laughter and joy.
