Dr. Rachel Zipper, PsyD is a Clinical Psychologist with a profound dedication to helping clients achieve their highest potential. Known for her empathetic and direct approach, Dr. Zipper finds immense joy and satisfaction in supporting her clients' growth and well-being.
Dr. Zipper holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University's Center for Psychological Studies, an American Psychological Association accredited program. She also earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Zipper believes that the cornerstone of effective therapy is building trust and rapport. Creating a safe and judgment-free environment is of utmost importance to her, ensuring that clients feel secure and understood as they navigate their unique challenges. Her empathetic nature allows her to connect deeply with clients, while her direct communication style ensures clarity and honesty in all interactions. She utilizes evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to tailor her approach to each individual's needs.
Initially drawn to psychology by a fascination with understanding human behavior and emotions, Dr. Zipper’s curiosity was sparked from a young age by observing relationships within her family and community. This interest grew during her undergraduate studies, where she was captivated by cognitive psychology and social behavior. Realizes that psychology offered practical ways to help individuals improve their lives, she pursued further studies and gained practical experience through internships and volunteer work.
Dr. Zipper hopes that her journey with each client allows them to find a renewed sense of self, healing, and confidence. Over the years, she has become passionate about helping clients achieve their goals for growth and change. She strives to provide an individualiZippered therapy experience, fostering personaliZippered growth and change while offering ongoing non-judgmental support.
Continuing to work in psychology deeply resonates with Dr. Zipper’s passion for understanding human behavior and helping others achieve their goals. Every day, she finds fulfillment in knowing that her work can positively impact individuals facing personal challenges. Her ultimate goal is to contribute to a broader system that promotes mental wellness and proactive change.
Outside of work, Dr. Zipper enjoys working out, baking, and spending time with her family. She values finding joy in everyday life and maintains a positive outlook through her hobbies and interests.
