Ms. Teresa Ipong-Garcia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California.
Ms. Ipong-Garcia attended the University of San Francisco and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in the College of Professional Studies, Organizational Behavior, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling. Ms. Ipong-Garcia has worked in community mental health for over 22 years providing counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from culturally diverse backgrounds. She also has provided group facilitation and individual counseling services to individuals diagnosed with cancer. Her specialties include, but are not limited to, family dynamics, grief and loss, parenting, trauma, anxiety, and depression. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
She applies a strength-based approach and uses evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, systematic effective parenting, and solution-focused therapy with an emphasis on providing a comfortable and respectful environment to support clients in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life. Whenever possible, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and reading a good book.
