She holds a Master of Science in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tampa and a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Miami.
Valery grew up in Florida and has lived there all of her adult life. Her mother worked in healthcare and was Valery’s greatest inspiration for her chosen career path. She was drawn to behavioral health in her early years of nursing working in the emergency room and inpatient facilities. She was able to learn the dynamics of mental illnesses and remains intrigued by the field.
Valery has great compassion for people who suffer from mental illness. She wants to be a part of the mission to help them heal and function at their highest level. She uses tools that will enhance her clients’ quality of life and remove maladaptive thoughts and behaviors. She believes cognitive behavioral therapy is a great way to help rewire the brain with techniques that help overcome various conditions through positive thinking and self-discipline.
When she isn’t working, Valery loves to go for long walks. She also loves to travel and spend time with family.
