He grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, where his natural curiosity and love for learning shaped his path toward a diverse and enriching career. Although he initially ventured into fields as varied as insurance sales, aviation, massage therapy, and real estate, D’Arthana found his calling in nursing, which ultimately led to his current role in psychiatry. His varied experiences provide him with a unique perspective and deep empathy for his clients’ journeys.

D’Arthana holds a Master’s degree from Herzing University, a Bachelor’s degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, and an Associate’s degree from Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His approach centers on active listening, creating a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. While he adapts therapeutic modalities to meet the individual needs of his clients, D’Arthana emphasizes the art of listening as the foundation of his practice.

D’Arthana is captivated by the unique and intricate stories his clients share, and his curiosity fosters a therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect and trust. His background in nursing provided an excellent foundation for understanding care, but his current role allows him the autonomy to spend meaningful time with clients, ensuring they feel valued and understood.

D’Arthana's journey to psychiatry was serendipitous, but his passion for the field has only deepened over time. He is driven by a profound sense of purpose and takes pride in helping his clients navigate their mental health journeys with compassion and insight.

When D’Arthana isn’t working, he enjoys going for walks, lifting weights, and spending quality time with his family. These activities help him maintain balance and provide him with the energy and focus he brings to his professional life.
