Dr. Donald Nash, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist deeply committed to fostering emotional resilience and well-being in his clients. Known for his empathetic approach and genuine dedication, Dr. Nash works with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodevelopmental concerns. His approach is centered around creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and overcome their personal challenges.

Dr. Nash completed his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Chicago, preceded by a Bachelor of Arts in General Psychology from Dominican University. His extensive clinical training includes experiences in therapeutic day schools, college counseling centers, hospitals, and private practices. Throughout his career, he has developed specialized expertise in diagnostic evaluations, individual and group psychotherapy, and integrated care for children and adolescents. Dr. Nash has also led various therapeutic groups focused on social skills, DBT, and processing, working closely with families and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive support.

His professional journey has been shaped by a profound curiosity about human behavior and a dedication to understanding the sociocultural factors that influence mental health. Growing up in the diverse Chicagoland area and witnessing the impacts of socioeconomic and cultural challenges, Dr. Nash developed a deep respect for individual resilience and a passion for helping others achieve personal growth. His background has fueled a commitment to mental health advocacy and community service, which he continues to pursue actively.

Dr. Nash’s therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic principles. He believes in empowering clients to harness their strengths and build lasting resilience, working collaboratively to help them gain insight into their thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Nash finds joy and balance through hobbies like hiking, cooking, and gardening. An avid traveler, he appreciates the perspective and inspiration that new cultures bring to his work. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking for loved ones, and engaging in community service and human rights advocacy. These personal interests not only enhance his own well-being but also deepen his empathy and connection with clients, bringing a holistic understanding to his therapeutic practice.
