Elaine Taylor holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Pacific Union College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loma Linda University. She also holds a Doctor of Nursing, specializing in Psychiatry, from Loma Linda University. She is a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with ANCC PMHNP board certification.
When she was young, she often found herself interested in other people's stories and wanting to discover why people navigate life in such different ways. This grew into a realization that she could make a positive impact in the lives of others, as well as herself, by better understanding the field of psychiatry.
Even before starting nursing school, Dr. Taylor was curious about psychiatry. The more she learned, the more enthusiastic she was to dive deeply into this field. As she progressed through nursing school, psychiatry was by far her favorite rotation, and she felt certain she could make a positive impact in the field. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow in this specialty as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
She does her best to work with her clients to create a treatment plan together. She believes each person has different goals, and her objective is to support her clients to reach their own individual goals.
Dr. Taylor enjoys continuing to learn about psychiatry and finds meaning in using her educational background and experience to support her clients in any way she can. She believes in lifelong learning and evidence-based medicine. She makes an effort to always keep up-to-date on best practices in psychiatry.
When she isn’t working, she enjoys exploring new places and seeking out new foods with her family, boyfriend, and friends. She has lived in various areas of California her entire life, including Bishop, Paradise, and Loma Linda. She also loves rock climbing and reaching new heights (literally).
