Growing up in the vibrant culture of Sunny South Florida, Samantha developed a passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind and the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Her upbringing, marked by both challenges and resilience, fueled her interest in personal growth and overcoming obstacles, shaping her journey into the field of psychiatry.
Samantha's academic journey began with an Associate Degree of Arts from Miami-Dade College, where she laid the foundation for her career in healthcare. She then earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University, further solidifying her commitment to the field. Her passion for medicine and a holistic approach to care led her to obtain a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Purdue University Global. However, it was her deep interest in psychiatry that drove her to pursue a Postmaster's certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, allowing her to combine her expertise in both physical and mental health.
In her practice, Samantha believes in the power of a comprehensive approach to patient care, where mental and physical health are equally prioritized. Her dual certification reflects her dedication to understanding the whole person, ensuring that her patients receive the most informed and empathetic care possible. Samantha is well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she remains committed to continual learning to provide the best possible care to her patients.
Samantha describes herself as adventurous, family-oriented, and passionate. She finds immense satisfaction in making a real difference in her patients' lives, providing support and understanding during their most challenging times. The ever-evolving field of psychiatry, with its new challenges and learning opportunities, keeps her work engaging and fulfilling. The deep connections she builds with her patients, coupled with the satisfaction of witnessing their progress, continually motivates her.
When she isn’t working, Samantha is a thrill-seeker who loves activities like skydiving and anything that gets her blood pumping. Despite her adventurous spirit, she also enjoys the simple pleasures of life, such as hiking, biking, and spending quality time with her family. As a mother of five, she values a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, where she can unwind by taking trips, watching movies, and cooking. Samantha’s outgoing and open-minded nature makes her a compassionate and approachable healthcare provider, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of her patients.
