She received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from California Baptist University and her Post-Master’s PMHNP Certificate from National University.
Tina grew up in Southern California. When she was young, she always wanted to make an impact on the world. It wasn't until she was a home health care aide for her grandmother that she decided that nursing would be for her. She really liked her mental health class in nursing school so she decided to become a PMHNP.
Tina tries to give her clients insights into their problems so they are empowered to change or come up with solutions. She is also a compassionate and supportive person who understands that it takes time to change and evolve. She helps her clients pinpoint their distorted thinking so they can alleviate their anxiety and depression. She also believes in providing insights to help improve personal relationships with her clients.
Tina uses humor as a way to cut tension during sessions. She may be blunt but her intentions are good and she is quick to apologize and do better if clients are willing to give feedback. Just like any relationship, the therapeutic one needs nurturing, trust, time, and work.
When she isn’t working, Tina spends time with her family and enjoys learning new computer programming languages. She also likes dancing Zumba and spending time with friends. Tina is fluent in English and Mandarin.
