Mrs. Kristina Ward is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida.

Mrs. Ward completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at West Virginia University. Kristina has twenty-five years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, psychiatric, and private practice.

Kristina has provided clinical and administrative supervision to social work students, interns, and professionals. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, children, couples, and adolescents in the following areas: ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavioral and discipline challenges, complicated grief reactions, anger and stress management, trauma and abuse, family and relationship issues, couple’s conflict, and self-image and self-esteem issues.

Kristina has invested in methods that emphasize a more integrative, dynamic, and holistic approach to mental health. She is particularly concerned with the impact of loss and trauma and improving intervention to support trauma recovery for better emotional, physical, and relationship health.

Mrs. Ward’s clients include children, adults, couples, and adolescents. She has training in treating childhood trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Kristina utilizes a variety of techniques and skills drawn from recognized therapeutic models including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Play Therapy, and behavior modification.

She believes in working in partnership with her clients, utilizing their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being.

Kristina’s hobbies include gardening, camping, hiking, and painting. She loves animals and fosters kittens and puppies for the local SPCA.
