Dr. Brainch graduated from the Government Medical College at Patiala, India in 2012 and then completed her Psychiatry Residency in 2019 from Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. She subsequently pursued an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel in NY.

She was the NY State representative of Resident-Fellow Members at the American Psychiatric Association. She also served as the chair of APA’s Assembly and Committee of Residents and a Fellow Mentor for APA’s Assembly Mentorship Program. She was the Academic Chief Resident at Maimonides. During her residency, she published multiple Quality Improvement projects and advocated for resident wellness as the department representative at NY’s Committee of Interns and Residents.

At work, seeing her patients get better, connecting with their emotions, and being able to live and experience life to the full extent makes Dr. Brainch happy. Outside of work, Dr.Brainch enjoys traveling and dancing.
